Agreement to these terms
By using cinemaxxing.co or subscribing to our emails, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Cinemaxxing is run by Alex Walker and Alex Anderson in Austin, Texas ("Cinemaxxing," "we," "us"). If you don't agree, please don't use Cinemaxxing.
What Cinemaxxing is
Cinemaxxing is a free, independent guide to premium-format and repertory screenings in Austin and select other Texas theaters. We don't sell tickets. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any theater, studio, distributor, or brand we mention.
Theater names, IMAX, Dolby, Barco, Letterboxd, TMDB, and other names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to identify theaters, formats, and sources.
Listings can be wrong
Always confirm the showtime, format, and availability with the theater before you buy a ticket or make plans. We gather showtimes, formats, and sold-out status from theaters' public listings, but they change often, and we can make mistakes.
We're not responsible for missed screenings, wrong formats, sold-out shows, or tickets bought based on our listings. Our rankings, filters, and commentary are our opinions.
Tickets and other sites
Ticket links take you to theater websites. Any purchase is between you and the theater, under its own terms, prices, and refund policies.
We also link to sites like Letterboxd and Instagram. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
Our emails
The daily and weekly emails are free, and you can unsubscribe any time using the link in any email. Please subscribe only with an email address that's yours. We may change the schedule, format, or content of the emails, or stop sending them, at any time.
Content and posters
The Cinemaxxing name, logo, site design, and original writing belong to us. You're welcome to share links and talk about what you find here.
Movie posters, titles, and other images belong to their studios, distributors, and other rights holders. Poster images and some film details come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Cinemaxxing uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
If you own material on Cinemaxxing and want it removed, email [email protected] with what it is and where it appears. We'll take it down promptly.
Using the site
Use Cinemaxxing lawfully. Don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems. Don't sign up other people or use bots to subscribe.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Cinemaxxing is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. That includes warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither Cinemaxxing nor the people who run it are liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. This applies to any claim arising from your use of Cinemaxxing or reliance on its listings. Because Cinemaxxing is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.
Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
Texas law, changes, and contact
These terms are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use Cinemaxxing after a change means you accept it.
